Sample Paces Duke to Record-Tying Win

October 29, 2022 (Paradise Island, Bahamas) – Junior Jimmy Zheng shot Saturday’s lowest score of 6-under-par 66 and Luke Sample added a 5 under 67 to lift Duke into the lead by 12 strokes over Southern Mississippi after the second round of the White Sands Bahamas NCAA Men’s Golf Invitational at the Ocean Club Golf Course. Zheng and Sample were just two of the four players under par for the Blue Devils, who will enter the final day at 29-under-par 547. Duke started the day in second place, two strokes behind first-round leader Arkansas State, which slipped to third place in the team standings.

Naglic And Madden Help Arkansas State To First-Round Lead

October 28, 2022 (Paradise Island, Bahamas) – Luka Naglic and Jack Madden each posted 4-under-par 68s and their two teammates also had sub-par rounds, giving Arkansas State the first-round lead at the White Sands Bahamas NCAA Men’s Golf Invitational at the Ocean Club Golf Course. The Red Wolves team total of 14-under-par 274 is two strokes better than favored Duke and three strokes better than Stetson.

October 24, 2022 (Paradise Island, Bahamas) – Duke and Southern Mississippi are the favored teams heading into this week’s White Sands Bahamas NCAA Men’s Golf Invitational, according to the most recent Golfstats college rankings. Both teams are ranked in the top 50 nationally, while six others in the 12-team field are ranked in the top 100. Play in the 54-hole event begins Friday (Oct. 28) at the Ocean Club Golf Course at Atlantis Paradise Island.

October 23, 2022 (Paradise Island, Bahamas) – Teammates Mary Kate Smith and Lauren Thompson tied for individual honors at 4 under par over 54 holes, leading Lipscomb to a runaway win at the White Sands Bahamas NCAA Women’s Golf Invitational at the Ocean Club Golf Course. Smith led the field for the second consecutive day Sunday with a 4-under 68, while Thompson shot a 2-under 70.

October 22, 2022 (Paradise Island, Bahamas) – Mary Kate Smith (pictured above) posted one of only two rounds under par Saturday, with a 5-under-par 67, to propel Lipscomb to a comfortable 25-stroke advantage in the team race after two rounds at the White Sands Bahamas NCAA Women’s Golf Invitational at the Ocean Club Golf Course. Lipscomb has a team total of 576 (E), with Central Arkansas in second place at 601 (+25) and Arkansas State, which jumped two places, next at 602 (+26).

Stout Helps Lipscomb to First-Round Lead at White Sands Bahamas NCAA Women’s Golf Invitational

October 21, 2022 (Paradise Island, Bahamas) – Siarra Stout had four birdies on her way to the low score of 3-under-par 69 and Lauren Thompson added a 2-under-par 70 to give Lipscomb the first-round lead at the White Sands Bahamas NCAA Women’s Golf Invitational at the Ocean Club Golf Course. The Bisons, which had three individuals in the top 10, posted a team score of three over 291, two strokes better than second place Central Arkansas heading into the weekend.
